AFIA Journal Redesign

Complete redesign of their quarterly journal

Problem:

The AFIA journal had not been updated in awhile, and it had been mostly one-way content with little call to actions in the way of ads, links, etcetera.

Solution:

The intent of the piece and internal ads were redone, the look of the layout was updated, and articles were tailored to allow for a more visually striking publication. We were also able to get it up as an interactive document through Issuu for the first time, instead of a PDF that members had to download.

I also worked with the printer to update paper quality and thickness of cover pages, and reduced costs per round of production. Press checks were done for the first two issues.
